3720 and Counting.

I've always loved music. I cannot imagine my day without hearing those gorgeous melodies. I don't care if it's Beethoven, Offenbach, or Chris Brown. As long as it doesn't hurt my ears, or not one of those lousy local bands that you hear on cheap radio stations, I will listen to it.

Since yesterday, I was so busy searching for new artists and songs that will add to my collection. So far, I've got 3720 songs, 10.5 days, and 14.44GB of music in my iTunes.

And now, thanks to eBay, I can bring my music inside the car. Praise to the iPod FM transmitter that I've won earlier this day. Wohoo!

TGIF

Thank God It's Friday!

I never wanted this day of the week so badly in my entire life.... till now. haha. Now I realize why people look forward to this day.

Work is fun but it is not a joke. Teaching students in three different levels (primary, secondary and tertiary) is very challenging. It is difficult to adjust every day to their level of thinking. Imagine teaching college on mondays, then high school on tuesdays, college again on wednesdays, elementary on thursdays and college once more on fridays. I think I'm going insane. haha

I have no problems with my high school and college students. BUT the grades four and five are a big pain in the butt. These kids are so hyper and their attention span is very short. aaahhhh!!

I am still on the process of adjusting. Preparing different lectures every night is kinda exhausting. sigh...  And I'm now getting used to people calling me "Sir", "Mister", and "Teacher". haha

There is one great thing about work... I think it solved my sleeping problem. Now I can sleep before 2:00 am!! yay

Teaching has its price... so can I have my paycheck now?

Lunch by candlelight

3:30am

I was waken up by the strong winds and rain. I was surprised because 2 hours earlier, the weather was calm. I reached for the light switch but there was no electricity!!! waahh! Now how can I go back to sleep.

I went outside and saw mom and dad also awake. They told me that the storm changed its direction and is now near Metro Manila.

It was kinda scary because you can't see anything outside. You can only hear strong gusts of wind and rain pouring heavily on the roof. yikes.

I went to my parents' room and tried to sleep there. I also brought my iPod with me so that I won't hear the scary noises outside. Good thing I recently got my Sennheiser in-ear phones which I won from eBay. haha.

I woke up around 10am. Rain was still pouring, and the wind was still strong. Oh, and still no electricity.

No electricity = no food.

waahhh!!!

So my sister tried calling fast foods and asked if they were still doing deliveries considering the bad weather.

We got lucky. haha

Ok, here's a pic of our lunch by candlelight:

The power was restored around 1:00pm... Yay! now we can take a bath! lol

It's all in the positioning.

Haha.

So I was in the car, on my way home from work. I have a class till 9:00pm so I was tired and a bit sleepy. My iPod was my only friend because our driver was listening to his favorite sh*tty radio station and I cannot find the remote control. lol

We were stuck in traffic at the bridge so I was gazing outside when I saw this funny looking billboard. haha. I took my cellphone out immediately and focused my camera at the billboard.

Here's a pic:

hahaha..

Hmmm.. I'm pretty sure that those are two different ads. Look at the persons at the bottom. They're like looking at the angel grabbing a soda. lol.

Things to Do...

Oh well... I'm a full fledged teacher now.

Here's a list of my teaching load:
Elementary:
Grades 4-6: Computer (Thurs)
High School:
3rd Year: Mythology and Technical Writing (Tues)
4th Year: Computer (TTH)
College:
1st Year: Computer and Information Processing, Program Design, and Automated Typing (MWF)

sigh... I have so much work to do. My brain's getting confused with all these computer terms. Of course, I have to adjust my topic, lectures, and the way I deliver the lessons depending on the grade or year level of my students. aahh!

I feel exhausted actually. I spent two hours today teaching in High School. I was sweating like a tabletop fountain. hahaha

Here's my to do list:
1. Prepare questions for the college prelim examinations.
2. Prepare a lecture for my 6:00-9:00pm class tomorrow.
3. Prepare lectures for my Elementary class.
4. Prepare a quiz for my High School computer class.
5. Eat every 4 hours. lol

Anyways, I feel tired but I'm actually enjoying what I do. I'm working two part-time jobs and I hope that I get paid soon.

*crosses fingers*

I wanna go shopping!

Astigmatism and Eyeglasses

I've learned my lesson. Haha.

Last week while Isabel and I were having coffee, I can feel that something was wrong with my right eye. It was as if I have something in my eye. When I got home, I removed my contact lens and while I was cleaning the right lens, there was a small chip on it. So that's what causing that uncomfortable feeling.

I decided to have my eye checked and the doctor said that my astigmatism got worse. She asked me if I wore contact lenses before... I said yes. haha. She explained to me that the contacts lens that I used to wear were not correcting my astigmatism. So when I switched from my corrective eyeglasses to contacts, my eye problem got worse.

Then I've decided not to wear contacts lens for the meantime and go back to wearing eyeglasses again.

But my old eyeglasses is broken (I sat on it. lol), I told my mom that I'd like a new frame. haha.

Here's my new eyes:

My mom's gonna kill me if she finds out how much my new frame costs.. haha.

I hope I won't sit on it this time.lol

Tag Price...

People, please check your clothes before you leave the house or better yet, before you wear them. Check for dirt, holes, stains and... the tag price. haha

So I was having my daily coffee indulgence at my favorite starbucks shop. I was with my friend Isabel. We were just relaxing and killing time because we are both lonely right now... No love life. sigh.

It has been our habit to talk trash about the people around us in the shop and the passers-by. Then one guy caught my attention. I was like. "Psst. May tag price pa ba yung damit nya?".

So Isabel looked at his shirt but he was sitting a bit far away from us. We were debating if it's a tag price or the brand thingy of the shirt. We couldn't resist it anymore so Isabel stood up and walked behind the guy and took a good look at his shirt. Then she walked inside the shop and went straight to the restroom so that the guy wouldn't get suspicious. On her way back, she looked at me and gave me a thumbs up with a big grin on her face. It was confirmed... His shirt still has a tag price... The price of the shirt is $19.50. haha.

The guy was with a girl but that b*itch didn't do anything. The tag is too big not to be noticed. hahahaha.

I'm sorry. lol
