iPod High

Hmm.. Digital Drug? What?

I saw a thread in one of the forums that I frequent about a digital drug that can give you that rush, high, ecstasy, and whatnot, by only listening to an mp3 track that alters the state of your mind.

*skeptical look*

The website mentioned in the post discusses how different sound frequencies can affect your brain. From 0.5-1.5Hz to 90-110Hz, these have corresponding effects that produce numerous feelings, emotions, and can release different hormones like Endorphin and Enkephalin.

Basically, our brain waves are classified into four states: Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta.

Each of these waves has a corresponding frequency:

Beta Waves: 13-40Hz (Alertness, Concentration, Cognition)
Alpha Waves: 7-12Hz (Relaxation, Visualization, Creativity)
Theta Waves: 4-7Hz (Meditation, Intuition, Memory)
Delta Waves: 0-4Hz (Detached Awareness, Healing, Sleep)

The Digital Drug audio claims that you can achieve all of these brain states in 60 minutes. Then you will feel more relaxed, confident, in a good mood, etc. Everything that you only feel when you take oral drugs like alcohol, caffeine, nicotine or the pleasure you feel after making love with someone.

I already downloaded that audio which contains the so called Digital Drug. I'll have to try it later or sometime this week. The site says that you can only listen it using your iPod because each earphone produces a different kind of frequency than the other. (For the left and right ear.) But I think any mp3 player will do. Just be sure you don't listen to it using a speakers.

In case you're wondering what kind of sound you can hear, it's very simple. Your can hear frequencies. Like a tone in different pitches. No band or orchestra. haha.
